Your rss_item should be like this

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="match_parent"
    android:layout_height="match_parent">

    <TextView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
        android:id="@+id/itemTitle"
        android:layout_width="match_parent"
        android:layout_height="wrap_content"
        android:padding="8dp"
        android:text="title"
        android:textSize="18sp" />

    <TextView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
        android:id="@+id/itemDescription"
        android:layout_width="match_parent"
        android:layout_height="wrap_content"
        android:padding="8dp"
        android:text="discription"
        android:textSize="14sp" />

</LinearLayout>

Then in getview it should be like this

  @Override
    public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) {
        ViewHolder holder;
        if (convertView == null) {
            convertView = View.inflate(context, R.layout.rss_item, null);
            holder = new ViewHolder();
            holder.itemTitle = (TextView) convertView.findViewById(R.id.itemTitle);
            holder.itemDescription = (TextView) convertView.findViewById(R.id.itemDescription);
            convertView.setTag(holder);
        } else {
            holder = (ViewHolder) convertView.getTag();
        }
        holder.itemTitle.setText(items.get(position).getTitle());
        holder.itemDescription.setText(items.get(position).getDescription())

return convertView;
}

Your view holder should be like this

static class ViewHolder {
    TextView itemTitle;
    TextView itemDescription;
}
